Please help save our heritage!

The way some of our built heritage has been irrevocably changed or destroyed in Whitehorse recently clearly shows that guidelines and Council Heritage Overlays are not enough to protect and preserve them.  What is needed is for the state government to use the laws it already has to protect our built heritage and penallise those who breach them.

When will the state government use the heritage legislation it already has to better protect our built heritage?

If you feel that our local heritage needs stronger protections please email your Whitehorse Councillor, Box Hill MP and the state government Minister for Planning and let them know.

Together we may be able make a difference and save our heritage for current  and future generations to enjoy and learn from before it is too late.
